Napa Solano SANE/SART provides qualified professionals to give victim centered care and support in a ‘safe place’, appropriate medical care, emotional support, advocacy, crisis intervention, assistance and education, as well as individual medical-legal examinations. The SANE is a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner who is a Registered Nurse with specialized training in the treatment and care of victims of sexual assault. The SART is a Sexual Assault Response Team of compassionate professionals that provide an immediate, multi-disciplinary response to adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault.
Napa Solano SANE/SART program serves sexual assault victims by providing a comprehensive medical treatment and confidential forensic evaluation by nurse experts through a coordinated community response.
