FAIRFIELD, CA – Wiseman Commercial is honored to have been invited to join Congressman John Garamendi, member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and a member of the Congressional “Make It In America” Task Force, to commemorate National Manufacturing Day by touring local manufacturers throughout the Third Congressional District. To start the day, Garamendi kicked off a forum for his Manufacturing Advisory Board, where he was joined by representatives from the United Steelworkers and the Alliance for American Manufacturing.
After the forum, the group toured three local manufacturing facilities: the Jelly Belly Candy Company; ergSol Inc, a manufacturer of solar thermal systems; and the Colavita Olive Oil manufacturing facility. Chief Business Development Officer Zen Hunter-Ishikawa represented Wiseman Commercial.
“Manufacturing comes in all shapes and sizes, from advanced technology, to solar panels, to food processing, and all of it is a vital aspect of our economy,” said Garamendi. “National Manufacturing Day is our annual opportunity to highlight the importance of our manufacturing sector and meet with local manufacturers to devise strategies that can promote a Make It In America Agenda.”
“It was an honor to attend this very important regional event focusing on the current challenges and opportunities in the manufacturing sector in California’s 3rd District. It’s important to ensure that coordination and collaboration between the region’s manufacturers and other ‘high tech’ professional firms takes place, and we appreciate Congressman Garamendi’s leadership in bringing various business groups together to discuss key issues.”
–Zen Hunter-Ishikawa,
Chief Business Development Officer
