John Barkey, Chief Financial Officer
John Barkey is The Wiseman Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, John spent six years in the public homebuilding industry, as a VP of Acquisitions for Taylor Morrison Homes in San Ramon, CA, as VP of Development for Pulte Homes/Del Webb in Sacramento, California, and as a Division President for Taylor Morrison Homes in Reno, Nevada. Prior to that, John held a variety of positions at Catellus Development Corporation (now an industrial REIT owned by Pro-Logis) in San Francisco, including Vice-President of Development and Director of Financial Planning. At Catellus, in the last few years he was there, John worked extensively on the Mission Bay project in San Francisco, which is now the location of UCSF’s new 2.6 million square foot research campus, over 5 million feet of new and planned office space, and over 6,000 units of new and planned attached housing. Prior to Catellus, John had worked for Price Waterhouse in New Port Beach, California. He has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California, Irvine.
Brian Wills, Chief Operating Officer
Brian Wills is The Wiseman Company’s Chief Operating Officer. A native of Pacifica, CA, Brian attended Long Beach State before taking his competitive cycling talents to Europe in 1997. Brian returned to the United States and directed YMCA summer camps for several years before joining The Wiseman Company in 2004.
As Chief Operating Officer, Brian directs new building development and construction. Working with his team of architects, engineers, general contractors and sub-contractors, The Wiseman Company is able to design, construct and lease the finest Class A office buildings in Napa, Solano and Yolo counties.
Brian also leads an outstanding Property Management team. Customer Service is at the core of every interaction with our professional tenants and single family home residents. Brian’s team continually improves and modernizes The Wiseman Company’s 300,000 square foot portfolio to stay competitive in the Class A market.
Alex Araujo, Corporate Controllers
Alex Araujo is The Wiseman Company’s Corporate Controller. Before joining our team, Alex spent six years at Raymond James Financial in Florida where he held various roles in Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting. Alex started his career with Citigroup and later moved to JPMChase when both companies were establishing accounting operations centers in Florida.
Alex is a graduate of the University of South Florida and a licensed CPA.
At The Wiseman Company, Alex is responsible for all financial accounting, reporting, and tax preparation activities for the Company and its portfolio of commercial office buildings. He also works with the Chief Financial Officer to manage the treasury, risk management and human resource functions for the Company.
Letisia (Letty) Perez, Director of Properties
Letty Perez is The Wiseman Company’s Director of Properties. Letty is a Northern California native who has more than 20 years professional management experience and was responsible for all the sales, marketing and business development initiatives with key clients in her previous position. She holds a Master of Business Administration degree which she achieved while working full-time.
As Director of Properties, her responsibilities include personal communication with tenants and their employees and coordinating the work of a wide variety of vendors who provide the most essential services to The Wiseman Company buildings and its’ clients.
